Panic Pendants

Panic Pendants, or sometimes called Panic Watches, are provided by Liberty Security for showhome staff to receive prompt emergency response by pressing the panic button on the pendant.
 
 
A) How to test the panic pendant:
 
  1. Email HelpDesk (help@tacada.ca) that you are planning to test the Panic Pendants (Subject: Testing Panic Pendant).   * You do not have to wait for a reply from HelpDesk.
  2. Call Liberty @ 1-866-926-7233 to speak with Customer Service (Option 3).
  3. Inform the representative of the address/location of which you would like to test the panic buttons. 
  4. Make a request for the system to be put into "test mode" as you are wanting to test the panic buttons.
  5. We will ask that you press and hold the button for about 6-7 seconds to ensure proper communication.
  6. Once signals are confirmed, Liberty will take your system off test to continue monitoring the location as usual.
  7. Reply to the HelpDesk ticket email you received, letting us know the test is completed.

B) How often to test?
  • It is up to the showhome Sales Consultant and their comfort level for safety.  Minimum annually is required by the Safety department but you are welcome to test it more often.
 
C) What happens when the panic watch button is pressed (and it is not a test)?
  • The security monitoring company will call the contact list and if they can't verify the validity of the panic button, they will dispatch emergency response services.
    • These are audible panics so the monitoring company will proceed as if it were a burglary alarm.
